Kendall MK Xi radiometer is a self calibrated cavity radiometer for measuring total radiation up to 20W / cm2. The most important part of this radiometer is the inner blackened cavity, which forms a small blackbody. Thermal resistance connects the cavity with the main body of the radiometer, which transmits the heat generated in the cavity to the main body. The temperature drop through the thermal resistance (measured by the thermopile) is used to measure the heat flow through the thermal resistance.
