The 840 series of resistance / resistivity probes enable the user to use spring-loaded electrodes to measure the surface resistance of flat, uneven or curved objects. The 840 series resistance / resistivity probes all use gold-plated, spring loaded flat tip pins as contact electrodes. Each pin requires 5 ounces (688 grams) of force to fully compress. The electrode is installed on the socket for easy replacement. Source / sense electrodes are separated by Teflon ® cores for high insulation resistance and extend over 0.5 inch (13 mm) of the core when compressed.
